Dear  EAC Network Supporter,

At the end of last month, EAC Network celebrated its 50th year of service to our local community. Honoring the Commissioner of the Nassau County Police Department, Patrick J. Ryder, and the Commissioner of the Suffolk County Police Department, Geraldine Hart, recognizing our founders and special guest Katie Beers, and joined by friends, supporters, sponsors, Board, staff, volunteers, and more, we couldn't be more grateful for your help in making it this far. Thank you for 50 years, and here's to the next 50!

In-Home Respite Hosts Caregiver Luncheon

During National Caregivers month, our In-Home Respite Services hosted a luncheon to recognize and honor our caregivers, including Town of North Hempstead District 1 Councilwoman Vivianna Russell (left) and Pauline Feldman (right). We are so grateful to our companions who give full-time caregivers much-needed time off!

MAC Volunteers Glam Up Food Pantry

Our Nutrition Education & Food Services teammates, Estefani DeVargas and Rosella Fuscaldo, glammed it up with MAC volunteers on World AIDS Day. For the 9th year, our friends at MAC cosmetics turned our food pantry from drab to glam. We can’t thank them enough for sharing their love on this special day!

Seniors Craft Blankets for Child Survivors

The Huntington Charity Workshop, which is part of the Huntington Senior Center, recently donated tons of hand-made comfort blankets, hats, and sweaters to give to the children who come to our Child Advocacy Center. Represented by Barbara M., Coordinator of the Huntington Charity Workshop, the seniors spend countless hours all year long to create the hand-made items, which provide comfort and ease to our children during a traumatic time period of their lives.

Kids Enjoy Holiday Shopping Spree 

Thanks to Bethpage Federal Credit Union and the Target Foundation, 100 of our children spent $100 each on themselves. The event benefited children from our Chance to Advance program, which provides enrichment programs that help develop the educational, artistic, athletic, and cultural talents of children in foster care ages 8 to 21, as well as from other programs. Volunteers accompanied the youth around the store to help them pick out items from their wishlists.

PAL Sound Tigers Donate Sweet Cases

Danna R. donated several "sweet cases" on behalf of the Pride in Athletics (PAL) Sound Tigers 12 U-AA team. The team, including her son Brandon (pictured), prepared the sweet cases for the children being served at our Child Advocacy Center. Thank you!

Toys for Toys Brings Holiday Cheer

Thanks to Major Chuck Kilbride and Toys for Tots, we received yet another HUGE donation of hundreds of toys that we've distributed to the children amongst our programs! We're so grateful to them for enabling our families to have presents for the holidays!
     

EAC Network is a diverse not-for-profit human service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 82,000 children, families, individuals, and seniors who are in crisis across Long Island and New York City. Among those we assist are children who have been abused or who are in foster care, people struggling with addiction or mental illness, vulnerable seniors, individuals seeking gainful employment, and more.
