Breakfast Food Drive Held at Island Trees

Students across the Island Trees School District showed that they are never too young to help curb hunger by stuffing over 2,000 brown bags with nutritious, breakfast foods for clients in our Nutrition Education & Food Services program (NEFS), which helps people living with AIDS. Thereafter, wonderful AARP Foundation volunteers helped transport the donations to our food pantry in Hempstead, where they stocked the shelves. Thank you to all involved! View more photos.

Managing Medication for Seniors

A pharmacist arranged by the Nassau County Office for the Aging presented on medication management at our Hempstead Senior Center. She then met with members one-on-one to discuss their medications, interactions, and side effects as well as answered questions. Medication management is vital, especially for our seniors, and now this program will be offered throughout the year! Learn more about EAC Network's Senior Centers in Nassau County.
