60 Plant Staff Take Team Approach to Wellness

As part of an EAC Network-wide wellness initiative for all staff, our team at 60 Plant Avenue, Hauppauge recently completed their health and wellness activities! Together they engaged in a smoothie and active life challenge, picnic, mindfulness presentation, salt cave experience, and a Positive Tree! View all the photos here.

Hempstead Seniors Win Big at Bingo

Seniors from our Hempstead Senior Community Service Center attended the recent Village of Hempstead Senior Picnic at Kennedy Park where guests were treated to a family-style lunch, raffles, entertainment by Chauncey Nedd and the Neddmen, bingo, and ice cream. The best part? Two of our members won bingo prizes!

EAC Network Represented at Reentry Task Force Fair

Several EAC Network staff recently represented multiple programs at the Suffolk County Reentry Task Force Resource Fair, which promoted vocational skills/job training and leads, substance abuse/mental health treatment, family/peer support, and legal/social services.

Safe Start Hosts Car Seat Events at GEICO

Once again our Safe Start program hosted a series of car seat events at GEICO head quarters to show parents and guardians how to properly install car seats. And once again, GEICO generously supported the program with an incredible $20,000. Thank you GEICO!

National statistics show that 75% of car seats are improperly installed. But our Safe Start program typically sees 90% of car seats are improperly installed on Long Island. Don't let yours be one of them! Learn more about Safe Start and how to book an appointment here.

Car Seat Inspection Event This Saturday

Join our Safe Start program this Saturday, October 5, between 9:30am-12:30pm for a car seat inspection event at Merrimac Elementary in Holbrook. Inspections are by appointment only, so make yours now at (631) 648-7100 x219 now before spots run out!
